About the event

Join artist Kien Situ and Passage Gallery co-director Marco Rinaldi as they unpack the artist’s exhibition ‘TECTONIC’ currently showing at .Passage

For Lunar New Year, the artist has placed a singular slab of Chinese mo ink and gypsum plaster within the gallery. The form of the slab is inspired by a real section of the moon titled (The Navel of the Moon).Umbilicus lunaris

Reflecting on his Sinospheric background (Chinese/Vietnamese diaspora), the artist is exploring the position of Asian-Australian and immigrant identity in Australia. Situ creates architectural encounters and atmospheres reflective of this contemporary state of tension and emerging hybridity.

This talk is followed by a workshop led by Kien Situ called 'I-Ching Drawing Ink from Stone'.

Please RSVP for Shadow Tectonics . And please book your place for the workshop here: .hereI-Ching: Drawing ink from stone
